Question engine hesitating to the point of almost stalling

so my engine is acting crazy lately.... i have a CAI and a straight pipe dual exhaust with resanator tips..... the problem im having is when im at a stop light and go to accelerate my truck chugs really bad to the point of almost dieing till i let off the gas for a second the press it and runs fine.... what are the things i should check? i know exhaust with no mufflers usually loses alittle torque but i wouldnt think to bad.... did a complete tune up about a month ago with plugs, wires, caps, rotor, and fuel filter.... i dont have any codes showin at the moment..... i really need opinion on what to check because i use my truck to travel for work every day.... i really hope im not doing any damage.....

Not sure if you got your question answered (5 months ago it looks like), but I have the same issue, and for me, it's the boot just after the MAF sensor, coming off the plastic plenum. It sucks in un-metered air and doesn't react well. This I believe happens when the motor moves under load.

Any ideas of how to get that sucker to stay put, without just moving the problem down the line? In a way I'm glad that it happens where it does, beause I wouldn't know it was happening if that were unfiltered air before the MAF.

well i'm not sure what year your truck is. But have you cleaned out the carbon in the throttle body??

I took mine out of my 03 blazer 4.3 and it was filthy! Took two cans of cleaner and an old tooth brush. But its a night and day difference in how smooth it runs now.

And a can of cleaner is only $5

Just my two cents.
