The blue are just plastic plugs? No wiring coming in from the back?

I hate to say it but you may have the OBD 1.5. In which case your only option is finding someone that can read it, ie dealer.

Test the fuel pressure. The FPR's are a known weak point on these engines.

where is and what is the fpr?

i clean the egr valve. i been reading that alot on here but that didn't seem to help it much at all.

there is no wiring going to the blue plugs

maybe a little off topic. but what is the purpose of the thing under the vortec cover. i took it out of the intake manifold it looks like a paddle valve of some sorts

I"m going to replace that fpr this week is there anything that i need to pay specail attention to or anything that i shoud replace will I'm in there

i changed the FPR and no change, any suggestion?
