The pump should move through its entire motion without too much resistance. So hopefully that is the issue.
The accelerator pump is in the carb (front driver side corner).
Do you use this truck as your only form of transportation?

Good News Kyle and Reelbroke2 - it was the fuel pump. I drove it out of our yard last night, down the hill, straight back up, back down, around town and back up the hill without an issue so *fingers crossed* it seems to be fixed. Third time lucky after the spark plugs and fuel filter, the fuel pump was the culprit. Thanks for your input and help, without you I probably wouldn't have attempted the work myself and would have spent more money, I'm sure, with a mechanic. I learned a lot doing it myself I feel and I'm quite proud of myself. I know it wasn't a solo engine rebuild or something drastic but just changing out those things myself, on my own, for the first time and fixing the problem has me quite chuffed about it all.
Also, its not my only means of transportation thankfully. I've got my super econo-box, my Focus thats my daily driver. I picked up the truck for some fun and mainly as my winter driver. I don't want to put the Focus through another harsh Canadian winter if I can help it.
Thanks again guys
