94 Jimmy 4.3 low oil pressure warning and failing acceleration.
So I drove my jimmy to work today, first real drive time since I replaced lower intake manifold gaskets, plenum gasket, spider injector, fuel return lines, and ignition coil.
I noticed the lack of "***" the truck had, peddle to the floor not faster than 70 mph. It continued to worsen reducing max speed even lower until I got to work and went to back into my parking spot. Check gauges light came on and looked like oil pressure indicator was low.
now it has a knocking sound as well as a squeaking sound? Wtf!
Checked oil level
looks a bit high
any help is appreciated!

thanks!

I just did all this on my 2000 and ended up having to replace the engine. Same exact symptoms.
Turns out my crankshaft was apparently completely ****ed and the low oil pressure was just slowly destroying my engine. My shop did me a solid though and transferred all the brand new parts I got onto my new donor engine and let me keep the warranty on them.
