engine swap for a 02 jimmy from a blazer

Default engine swap for a 02 jimmy from a blazer

hey guys, i have an 02 jimmy with a blown enigne. i have been trying to look online for a different engine to swap it with. i ended up finding a 04 chevy blazer engine with 106k. my question is will this engine work in my jimmy if i swap it out?

thanks.. i didnt know if there would be something different with those engine since there are 2 years apart

keep the '02 till you're done - IF anything it'll be a small detail and likely still working on the '02, just swap it over to the '04. The big bad parts that get blown like the heads, crank, pistons etc will be the same so you'll be fine there.

if yours does not have the egr system it is a direct swap, is it does then you will have to swap lower intake, exhaust manifolds and drill/tap knock sensor

i know my jimmy has a vin w and the 2004 engine is a vin x

i have been reading online about this, and it seems like there is a couple things that are different. but sound like it is almost the same engine. sounds like it should swap easy

anyone swap to an x and have any problem that i should know about??
