EVAP service port question

Default EVAP service port question

put a new motor in my truck and the EVAP service port line that goes into the intake was bent soo my buddy cut it and re installed it but he cut the green cap thing off does this make a difference can the cause anything to run crappy

The service port is just there to provide a place to check the system. You just need to make sure that the repair job your buddy did sealed things up appropriately.

It is part of the vacuum system which, if leaking, would allow unmetered air into the intake, causing some difficulties.
