ok first of i wasnt totally sure which tread to post this in electrical or tranny ...

ok so the other night comen home from work i was driving and was alittle cold so i turned the heat on but my vent near the 4 high 4 low buttons was pointed down so i went and moved it up and i just grazed the 4high button with my finger not even pressin it just made contact....and it engaged..well tryed to ...goin 75 down the road and throwin it in 4 high i know isnt good even though its supposed on the fly 4wheel drive (lol total bs)

so does anyone else have this little problem? ....i already know what im goina do to slove it
i have a flip cover im goina plastic weld to the dash so to press the 4 high or 4 low you have to flip the cover and press it

btw...when i pressed it it did go in 4 high but not after nearly pulling me off the road then slamming in making a HUGE crash from under the truck then it was fine...but luckly nothin broke..yet i still have my 4wheel drive but ya ...

i just wanna see if this is another one of those special features my trucks picked up with time or if its a common thing
