Default Firming up the transmission

Hey Folks, I have a 02 4.3 4wd blazer and i despise how mushy the transmission feels in this thing.

I would really like to firm things up as far as the shifting goes, and also adjust the shiftpoints higher up so that the damn thing stops trying to go into overdrive climbing uphill at 55mph.

Is this all possible with the "Hypertech" ive seen mentioned on here?

WHats the recommended "amount" of adjustment?

THanks in advance!!!

I really don't like program changes to firm up shifts. Nothing works better than a shift kit inside the transmission.

i'll second that Kyle.

what needs to be remembered is that although you can "tweak" the factory system, it is still a factory system.

personally, i'd drop in a shift kit, then go and tweak the s**t outta it if you want, with that Hypertech unit.

this way you know it'll stand up to the test (beatings) better.
