Fuel pump problem?
My 2004 TB has been idling pretty rough and a couple of times it has just died while sitting at a stop light. This morning it started fine, I backed out of the garage and turned it off. When I started it again, it made a rumbling sound and died. I was not able to start it again. It tries really hard, but can't seem to get going. Anyone have any ideas what might be happening? I know I'm overdue on my fuel service.
Thanks
Thanks
The fuel pressure test port on the GMT360 platform trucks is located right near the fuel filter under the truck. I would replace the filter and then test the fuel pressure. The pressure should be 50-57psi key-ON/engine-OFF.
There also is a TSB on the low idle stall, but that should not cause the truck not to restart. Rather than pay the dealer $150 to flash my PCM (mandatory $90 disgnosis fee with a $60 charge for updating the PCM), I chose to get a PCMforLess tuned PCM for roughly the same money with all of the current updates from GM! This fixed my low idle stall problem completely.
