Default Fuel Pump Question

Just picked up my second blazer, it's an 01 with 79k miles, fully loaded blah blah. I got it for 2 grand because it didn't run. I got it home and turned the key and didn't hear a thing from the fuel pump.

What i'm wondering is if i need the whole assembly with the sending unit, or if i can just buy a replacement pump? I found a replacement pump for 75 bucks. But the whole assembly is between 250 and 500 bucks. And also which brand would you reccommend?

Default RE: Fuel Pump Question

I would recommend an AC Delco pump. I only know of one person that has replaced ONLY the pump out of the fuel pump/sender assembly. However, I have not heard back from him concerning how well it worked out for him.
