i got a 2000 blazer and i was towing something and all of a sudden the temp went right high and eventually the car just died.
i pulled the oil dipstick and it was full of a beige milky color.
could this be head gasket"?:

this liquid was found in the air filter too.... im hoping its not because i litterally just bought this car
no smoke out the back either.

Doesn't look too good.
Beige milky color oil is a telltale sign of water in the oil.
Together with the overheat you can hope that you have shut it off in time not to seriously overheat internal components.

To find it in the air filter element is possible as it may be transported by the PCV (crankcase ventilation).

This should be adressed rather quick, because the water in the oil can lead to corrosion if it sits for too long.

First steps:
- NO STARTING until the cause is found and all problems rectified.

Questions to answer for diagnose:

- How quick and how high did the temp rise? (Have you been quick in pulling over and shutting down?)
- Coolant level? (Is it all down so there is a leak)
- Coolant pools underneath? (Sign of an external leak - you also have an internal one)
- Check all sides of the engine for unusual signs of leakage (also oil leaks)
- Pull all the spark plugs and have them sorted in a way you can tell which was in which cylinder. (E.g. small cardboard box marked FRONT + L/R)

Depending on your abilities / friends: (Relatively easy tests which can help diagnose later on)

- Cooling system leakdown test
- Boroscope of each cylinder
- Compression test
- Pull the oil pan

... pray for LIM (lower intake manifold)

And: Very good luck it did not overheat and cause internal damage.

P.S. And depending on the findings there will be more to do.

Run a coolant system pressure check. The odds are that you have a torn lower intake manifold gasket that should be replaced with the correct model set from Fel-Pro.
