I am new to the forum and have a question for whoever can help me out...When i turn on my heater control to defrost or for plain warmth at all, it starts to smell like burning brake pads would and at one time have had smoke come through my vent..This only happens when i turn on the heator ac. It has even happened once in the summer.. Can anyone even clue me in on what this could possibly be??

There is a little black hose that cools the blower motor it gets it's air out of the duct work. Be sure it is hooked up and in good condition. They say the blower motor is sealed and that is true BUT on the blazers where that hose is can suck in all kinds of smells. Also make sure there is no cracks in the housing to the evaporator that could be sucking nasty air in
