Ok, so my girlfriend has this blazer, and i think the mechanic she keeps taking it to is screwing her over, everytime she takes it there... it works for a month, and then it breaks again...

the most recent problem is that the car will drive fine for a good thirty minutes... and then it starts to backfire and sputter and eventually shut down, i was driving it on the highway the other day when this happened...
Scared my girlfriend to death,

the car has now blown out 3 mufflers. which i replaced.


i have replaced-
Distributor cap
air flow sensor
all spark plug wires.
spark plugs themselves


Oh! before i forget, it's a 1995 4.3L with a vortec V6


Now this mechanic is telling me that some sort of sensor in the car is screwed.. and its broken everything around it. and i'm thinking that it has nothing to do with that, so please someone with some mechanical knowlege... (or at least more than this mechanic) give me the slightest hint of what's wrong with it?:icon_d oh::icon_d oh::icon_d oh:

You couldn't even wait 20 minutes... Please do not bump a post until you have waited at least a day. No one is paid to respond, wait for them to respond to you on their schedule.

Now... Are there any codes? Your post is kind of light on the details. What does your mechanic think is wrong, specifically?
