Default HELP-Belt keeps slipping off crank pulley

Hello and thanks in advance for your help. I have new belt that keeps working off the crank pulley towards the motor. I'm sure I am getting everything lined up right yet it still moves back and over the rear edge each time it's started. Already tore up one belt and would like to correct this.

Can anyone help???!!!

Motor is a 95 4.3 Vortec with air

Thanks

Default RE: HELP-Belt keeps slipping off crank pulley

First make sure that the pulleys all look good and check the tensioner. Also make sure that belt is the correct length ie no reduction pulleys in use on your truck. If the belt is correct I would say that there is a very good chance that the tensioner isnt applying enough tension to keep it on.
