Default Help! High Idle - LS 4.3L V6 4x4 4-speed Automatic

Hello everyone, first time poster. Have owned a 95' Chevy Blazer since 2011 and just recently (Last week or so) have been dealing with a louder/faster than usual Idle, that seems to be at it's worst when the vehicle is in drive. (Seems to get a bit quieter in drive)

Specs:

1995 LS 4.3L V6 4x4 4-Speed automatic Blazer. Around 168k miles. I am not at all a car savvy person, but I could fix a computer with my eyes closed. I will try to explain this all in the plainest of English, and hope that any answers I may receive be explained in the manner that a toddler could understand.

As I said my engine is idling louder than ever and it seems to be pulling itself at around 25-28mph So I have been getting horrible gas mileage and it is definitely going to start to wear on my brakes and my patience.

My father and I JUST the day (2 days ago or so) replaced what I recall to be named the Mass airflow sensor (or something to that effect, will attach a picture) and it seems like the idle went down SLIGHTLY. My dad also checked to see if the pedal or throttle was sticking and said that he didn't see any signs of sticking, but he's been wrong before.

ANYONE at all with any suggestions as to what the problem may be, please feel free to respond to this thread, I will continue to check back and offer any additional info I may have left out. I'm running out of options, and I definitely don't have the money to bring it to a mechanic to get fixed.

Perhaps I should just take it for an examination and see if I can't get an estimate? I am in need of this vehicle to run correctly as I have a new job coming up and a four year old daughter that needs to be safely driven around.

Thanks in advance for any and all actual help!

Sorry, I forgot to mention I DON'T have a tachometer so I'm not sure what my RPM's look like.
