Default Help identifying part underneath car

My 1996 blazer 4wd has and oil leak that only happens when it’s running and I know where it’s coming from but I don’t know the name of the part. It is directly above the knuckle in the 4wd drive shaft and it has the number 10172762 on it and also CAV 10 on it. In appearance it has two line coming off it. Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks.

Can you post a picture of it? That would help us help you much better.

I believe you are referring to the Oil Filter Pipe Adapter.

Sounds like it is part of the remote oil cooler and remote oil filter system.

These hoses and the fittings are known leaks.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Check out THIS EXPLODED VIEW schematic from the WholeSaleGMPartsOnline website. As Christine stated, it sounds like you have an issue with one or more of the seals in the oil filter adapter on the block.
