My 95 blazer 4x4 has a metal rattle/ticking noise that started out only when i was in park or at a stop and would go away when accelerating but now it has gotten way worse and happens the whole time i drive and gets faster as i accelerate but will go away when ilet off the gas on the highway and coast. Ive used a stethoscope and its not anywhere in the engine itself or the tranny pan but it is load enough to where it echos all around so its hard to pinpoint but when i crawll under neath in park i hear it kinda around the bellhousing of the tranny it seems to drive perfectly fine

I’d take a look at your exhaust for a rattle. Sometimes exhaust rattles sound horrid. On my jimmy I have one I’ve been putting off fixing. Started out only at idle and low rpms and has gotten worse now so it’s almost constant. Could be the same for you.

Just an update I took the bell housing cover off today and looked inside found out what the horde noise was the flexplate on the flywheel was cracked in multiple spots and was rattling and grinding up against the cover and torque converter so bad that that's where the horde noise came from so for a quick fix for now until I get the time to take the tranny out and replace the flywheel through a couple weld on every crack she's quiet and good as gold but yeah thanks for the reply on the exhaust but I done ruled out all heat shield exhaust U-joints pretty much anything you can think of I had ruled out until I got it narrowed down to the bellhousing and took a look and Wallah I thought it would have been a loose flywheel bolt or something but now it was cracked whoever did the transmission must have over torqued or something but thank you
