Default Ignition Module replaced ...no Help

I have a S10 4x4 4.3 V6 engine ( Vortex)

My engine quit , no sounds just quit. I was't getting any spark so I replaced the Ignition Module . Now i'm geting spark but it mis fires as if the wires are crossed.
I checked to see if I crossed the leads and they look good.
JUst in case I need to chek the fireing order that I have and make sure it's OK.
For a 1993 engine it should be 1-6-5-4-3-2 is that correct ?

Could a bad ignition Module change the timing or is there something eles in the system that could be bad ?

Any help I will be Thankfull for.

the firing order is actually 142536, and no the icm does not changed ignition timing, the distributor does. a bad icm can give you random sparks(spark when unneeded) or no spark at all. seems like you found the problem with the no spark issue, just got the wires crossed i think.

1-6-5-4-3-2 should be correct. Double check the connections of wires, they sometimes come loose. Also check the condition of the distributor cap and rotor. It might also be a bad ignition coil.
