Default jumpy when barely on the gas and hard 1-2 up shift

i have a 1999 chevy s10 blazer 4x4 LS 4.3 auto 2dr. in any gear when barely on the gas its jumps but if u get on it a bit it quits and pulls fine. feels like the trans jumping not the motor because i can have it in neutral or park and barley hold the gas and it runs nice and smooth. any clues what it might be? thanks in advance
