Bought it for 350 bucks for the winter, casue it has a working 4x4, couple questions

All dash lights dont come on.
It runs rough, sounds like its running really rich, you can smell the gas and fumes when driving it.
I know its a old beater, got 190k, on its last leg, what can i do to make it last a year, was thinking of running some lucas, and switching to synthetic.

 

also, will it hurt just to run it like this, still runs and starts and drives, just runs a little rough and lean
