Default Leaking transmission fluid on ground?

Ok guys I am back with my crazy transmission agian. I drove it 1200 miles round trip to see the family and it did great! it is a 1997 4x4 LT ok it has now 147k on it I parked it nothing was dripping under it at all I was out today and noticed a leak had just started litteraly in the last hour has not been drove since I broght it back home but it is dripping in front of of the Trans Pan not the pan but in front closer to the passenger side a slow drip is all it is what is that thing it is dripping from and why did it all of sudden decide to drip? thanks

Ok everyone I now think it is not tranny fluid but perhaps coolant and of course both are the color of pink but as I smelled the ground it had a hint of the normal smell of coolant so what does this mean for this beautiful truck now My guess is it is upper manifold gasket and what intails fixing that bad boy pulling the engine how many hours???

If its dripping in front of the trans and its not the pan, sounds like front seal..Be prepared to drop transmission if it is.

Dunno, can't see it from here.

Check the cooling line running to the radiator or the trans dipstick tube?

^^^Ditto on the trans dipstick tube grommet....if you had the trans out and did not re-attach the tube to the trans with one of the trans bolts it could have worked its way out of the grommet.

The intake gasket replacement is definately a doable if you have some mechanical ability. Here is a tutorial:

How To Replace Intake Manifold Gaskets On A GMC Jimmy 4.3 Liter V6 To Fix A Coolant Leak - GM Truck Engine Repairs

If there is coolant in your oil take care of it immediately! It will gunk up your car badly!

Default Transmission Leak Please Help!

ok, I have a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer 2 door well the transmission is leaking and im not sure where though when you look at it underneath the car it looks like it is coming from where the transmission goes into axle but when you get a closer look it looks like its just leaking from somewhere else and just is following the trans.and then falls but i dont know and it really has me worried about it
