Question Low Compression on Cylinder 6/Do I need a new engine?? Please help??

This all started with a fuel leak..Checked spider assembly and found fuel in it, and CEL light was on. Code P0306 (Cylinder 6 misfire). Noticable problem with truck is once it gets up to temp it misfires, and sputters.. (runs great while cool) Changed spider assembly, then did spark plugs and wires, no change. next I was told to change the core, again no help. I pulled off the wires and ran a test with a medal screwdrive to see if it was getting spark. It was....I finally took it to have a compression test and the mechanic told me that Valve #6 had no compression, and that even if I fixed it, that I would prob still have a knocking and have to replace full engine soon anyways. Truck has 200,000. bought it in June....Do you think I need to just go ahead and buy a new engine?? Or is there any other avenues I can look into....Any ideas on where to purchase an engine for a decent price? What other componets do I have to buy to replace the engine..I am going to do it myself..Any help would be great.
Thanks!

If i were u i"d replace the motor!!! trust me, it's already got 200k on it, at this point it's been threw alot...I guess u could pull it and rebuild however that'll get expensive real quick, it's not soo much the parts but the machine work that'll eat u alive..... My best advice is to check wrecking yards there are plenty of 4.3l motors to be had !!! I've seen low mileage motors go anywhere from 500-1100 . U could check Cl as well? ! That's where i found mine, a reman with 40k for 500..... And last but not least you'll wanna change any gaskets that are showing signs of leaking as well as tune up, and new water pump...... Good luck!
