i don't know if this matters but the only time it does the low oil pressure thing is after 20+ miles of driving and never before. and it only started to do this after an oil change 4 days ago. but still no noises and still drive fine except for the hesitation for like 3 seconds until the oil pressure gauge shows normal.

What are you waiting for? Get a manual gauge and a 1/4" NPT "T" fitting. You will never know if you are doing damage until it is too late.



It may be easiest to work around with the distributor removed.
