hey guys so ever since i got my blazer it has had a missfire. i got my dads gm buddie to do a test on it and it turned out number5 injector was not working..so i went to the scrapyard and ripped a spider out and installed it on mine and its still misfiring from #5 i no it could be a bad spider still but i just have a hard time thinking its #5 again...any help would be great

 

I'm curious what test he did to nail it down to a #5 injector? I'd hate to replace my spider again only to find out it was something else. Do you know what codes you have?

 

He's a gm mechanic ad has a crazy scan tool and a gauge that conects to the fuel system and goes through all the injectors and number 5 was not doing anything. And I have a missfire cylinder #5 code

 

Have you upgraded the spider to the MPFI system? As I recall the 98 has only 1 injector with 6 poppets. check for spark and how the plug looks first. It's easier to just check and costs nothing
