Default My 2001 Blazer 4X4 gave up the ghost

Blew the tranny on the way home from work, had 105,000 miles on it. I put the pedal down to pass a truck on the Washington, DC beltway, and after that, I only had first gear to get me home. Drat! I loved that vehicle. Considering everything, I've decided to send it to the scrap yard instead of sticking more bucks into it.

I would have the tranny rebuilt, however there are some bad rust issues to go along with it. This vehicle was originally from New York which launched an epidemic of undercarriage rust. In the past year, things actually started to fall off. I just got done replacing the brake lines, calipers, etc. I may get another used blazer and keep this on for parts.
