Default My 4l60e plan.

Got the old 1870 code. To start it's a 98 4x4 4 door, got it for $2500,got it in dec 2011. After about 2-3 mo's it started 1870 code ,so i would reset it , but now you go about 50-60 miles and it set's the code again.
It shift's just fine, 124,000 miles
After reading all i could about the 4l60e , i am going to change the valve body. Got it off ebay rebuilt for $120 ,everything i need to do it.

Just hope it works!!!!

1 the fluid looks OK i't not pink but it not burned eather.
2 After looking i think the crossmember is in the way ,so that may take so time to remove.

Any thing else i need to do NEED ALL THE HELP I Get

Shouldn't take you more than an hour. Just make sure you get the separator plate gaskets. They will be marked, one with a C (case) and the other a V (valvebody). Other than that there will be checkballs in the valvebody, so make sure you remember EXACTLY where they go. There are also some that will be sitting on top of the separator plate. This will need to be removed to replace the gaskets. You will want to make sure they do not get lost, or that they roll around. When you remove the plate, the ***** should be sitting in the holes through the plate, so as long as you are carefull it should not be a problem. Good luck. If you do some searching you should be able to find some checkball diagrams that shows where they go. Probably good to have just in case.

Good luck.

Update
Every thing came out OK so far.

Lost one of the bolt's on the crossmember in the frame,so that will be fun to get out.

Got the the pan off without makeing a mass. [Tip... jack one side of the truck higher than the other and drain to the lower side.]

Pulled the valvebody, got the spacer plate down, make sure were the check's ball go [ i think, i am sure] . i know were they go in the VB , not sure in the case. only got one out the other stayed in the case

One thing i did fine is the spacerplate were the checkball ride were wore. all most egg shape . i think i going to get a new SP, or repair this one .

They make plate ball repair kit's , going to have someone check the plate out ,and go from there.

It's beat's having a $500 mo truck payment. !!!!!!!!
