Default My 97 Blazer is stuck in 2nd. won't shift?!?!?

Just last night my Blazer stopped shifting. When it is in D it will not go over 25 mph so I stopped and switched it to 1...it barely moved so I shifted to 2 and it had power and as I was accelerating and tried to shift to 3 it would not shift and the rpms were high. What would the issue be? I'm thinking the solenoids...how hard is it to replace them? Should I try flushing the tranny fluid first or should I just go ahead and do a full "treatment" and replace the solenoids, flush the fluid and replace the filter???? I cannot spend a lot of money bringing it to a Transmission shop...they usually rip you off..
