Exclamation need help asap

i have a 2000 blazer and to day it stared to make a taping sound and i dont i know why ? the oil is fine what can i do

You're going to give some more info like where is this noise, are there times when it does or doesn't happen - stuff like that

it sounds like it come from the front of it its just started to day i dont want it f noting up if it anit all ready

Explain "the oil is fine" please.
If its low, the lifters can tap.
If its the wrong viscosity, the lifters can tap.
If the oil has alot of miles on it, the lifters can tap.

I am assuming you actually maen lifter tick right? If its actually a "Tap" it might not even be the lifters.

the oil is not low so what can i do for it to stop change the oil or what?

The oil not being low doesnt mean its fine. That was why I asked all the questions. It may be diluted, too old, contaminated or the wrong type of oil entirely.


Change it to be sure that isnt the cause. If it continues then you keep looking.

Is the noise a tick? tock? tap? When does it do it? anything make it better? worse?

its more like a tick it does it when i stated it up

i have a 2000 blazer it just started like taping but it kind of sound like ticking tho what to do. the oil is good its not low. what should i do i was think of give it a tune up and see what happen. somebody give me samething

It sounds like lifter tick. How many miles on the truck? How long have you had it? How long since last oil change? What kind of oil do you use?

A tune up wont take care of a lifter tick unless the tune up includes an oil change.
