So I own a 97' Chevy Blazer, 2WD, 2D. Its been slowly falling apart recently, put a new performance distributor in it 5 weeks ago. In installing the distributor I knocked out the oil pressure sensor.Following the distributor I installed new A/C Delco Iridium plugs and A/C Delco Performance Max wires, cap, rotor, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I recently went to my shop and changed my oil. Upon my drive out (truck was warm at the time), I hit a speed bump at about 10 MPH, its a 5 MPH bump. The engine quit out and I quickly threw it in Neutral to start again before I hit a fence. Started right back up no issues. About 50 feet later it died again, and didn't start again for about 5 min, and noticed it only kept running as long as I kept my RPM's high, I get it moving and at a stop sign I die again. This time it takes 15 min to start again, and like before it only stayed alive at high RPMs. Later down the road I die again but this time it wont start again. The battery died from trying to start it too many times, now its charged and I can hear the fuel pump kick on so I know it isn't that. Please any ideas would be intensely helpful.

When you replaced the oil pressure switch did you buy the same switch as was in the truck? There are two different switches. One has one pin inside the sensor and the other has 3 pins. The plugs are the same except the number of contacts inside them. Not sure but just maybe this might be the issue. If there are no codes (check first like pettyfog stated) then this might be your problem since I do not think that it would not set a code. Just my .02 cents

How does the tack behave when it dies. Should give you a clue about spark or gas. Does the tack go straight to zero. Not sure but when your cranking it you should see something on the tack. Or just pull a spark plug wire while someone cranks it and see if you can hear it arc. Any codes?

i would do a fuel pressure test like petty said. You might hear your fuel pump kick on but that doesnt mean its putting out the right pressure anymore. these trucks need about 58 PSI to run i think. and with the engine off the pressure should stay above 50 for 10 minutes.
Go to your local auto parts store and rent the tester

I can say for sure, at least on mine, it will NOT run with only 45 PSI, but it did run at 50. New pump and it's running 55 PSI with no problems.
And no NEW codes? Not good, always fix your lowest codes first. Though fuel pressure will not throw a code itself, it needs to be fixed to get it running to find new codes.
