Default Needing new transmission

Great forum you all have here. I googled Blazer and your forum was at the top of the page.

Well Im new to Blazer ownership but I am familiar with the chassis, I have a '95 'burban and a '96 C1500. The guy I purchased the Blazer from says that the tranny is shot and its about the 5th thats been installed, so I want to replace the tranny but I would rather replace it with a current unit that has been upgraded and updated through the years.

So what tranny would you recommend I replace the current tranny with?

Also, if anyone is looking for RPO breakdown>>>>http://aplsweb.com/Topics/TopicPix/RPO.pdf

I found out that my truck has RPO code MJ1, an Isuzu transmission. Was this a crapper?

Thanks for any info!

Regards,

Nick

You're right. My truck is a FS Blazer, 5spd, 4x4.
