97 blazer tranny prob HELP

Default 97 blazer tranny prob HELP

so yesterday i try and put blazer in reverse and i get nothing but revs up so i drive it around all and still never worked then i had a friend get under it and move linkage and it stated to work is that my problem or is it a bigger one

If you were able to move the shift linkage and get reverse, then I would say your issue is with an out of adjustment shift linkage.

so i should fix that right caus ei have not did anything just moved it and it worked so is there a way to tighten it up

You can adjust the shift cable.

CLICK HERE for a little pictorial of how to adjust the shift cable. The F-body has practically the same adjustment method.
