New Engine Issue
Replaced my 2.8 with a 3.4, been working on it little by little rebuilt the 3.4 through and through by a machine shop. had a few issues with the fuel injectors and they dumped fuel into the gas, apparently a little more than I thought over a period of about a week of messing with it. finally got it running and it idled fine for a bit then started to have a small knock that is harmonic with the engine rpm's. I have not drove it yet, I changed the oil and it was not clean and smelled of fuel. changed the oil twice to try and clean it out and the noise is still there. Did I screw up the rod or main bearings? I doubt it was able to fully break in. If i did mess up a bearing can I change them out with the engine still in the truck?
