Default RE: New Fuel Pump.....new problem!!!

They were both delco pumps purchased at Hamilton Chevrolet. When I took the first one back, the guy said that that was the second pump in about two months that had been returned. I just wonder if someone didn't take their old pump back and trade it for an old back up. The box I got had definately been opened before but the pump had no fuel odor. It showed no signs of being previously installed. But...the second one I got was in fresh plastic....had a little bit of a light oil in it that I assume was used for testing from the factory. The first one didn't have any oil in it that I can recall. It figures with my luck though.....if I went to the back of the snap on truck....and picked out one screwdriver out of 500, it would be bad!

Thanks again guys for all your help. I am eternally grateful.
