Default New guy here, with tranny problems.

I recently purchased a 95 blazer 4 door 4wd (W) vin for a few hundred bucks. It needed work but it started and drove so, needles to say your forum has helped tons getting this thing running right.

Long story short i've got it running pretty decent after alot of overlooked maintenance items and a few repairs. This morning on my way to work it felt like the torque converter was slipping. the engine would rev higher with out gaining any speed and it wanted to stay in second at 55-60mph. Checked the fluids at work and topped off. On the way home i still felt like it was slipping than just totally let go as if i was in neutral and just revving freely. It does this in any gear reverse or forward. If i let the car cool for 15 minutes or so it will work normal for a minute or two and then go back to "neutral" again.

Right now im considering swapping for a 700r4 to eliminate the electronics. does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be, or how difficult a swap would be?

Thanks I'll have to check that out, yes windows and heater fan work. I noticed the vacuum line for the 4wd is plugged, could this be an issue?

comes from the tee right under the vacuum ball. two run from the ball area toward the passenger side. One is the vacuum source the other is plugged with a screw, I was assuming this one was to the 4wd switch.
