Default New here

Hello all
Im new here and I have a question. I have a 93 blazer that I just got for me and my son to play around in. My issue is the tranny. Its shifts and works great but I cant get it to down shift when I get down on the gas. Im sure there is a thread here that will help me but as of yet i have not found it. if anyone can help with that link or give me an idea of what some possible cause are i would greatly appreciate it. Im not 100% what tranny it is but i believe it is a 700R4???, The pervious own said he had it rebuilt a while back and it has a quick shift in second that will jerk your head when it shifts.

yeah i had a trans like that.....not exactly nice when you are using it as a DD. anyway, the 4.3l is pretty torque-y so it doesnt always need to downshift. there have been times that mine wont DS but if you slow it down and then mash the gas, it should then.. sometimes you are right at the spot where it might DS and it might not.

Thanks Twip for your input. I can down shift it manually of course. I guess with a 20 year old truck I just need to be happy its a solid as it is.
Again thanks
