Default no 3rd or 4th

I'm going to pick up my Blazer tomorrow. It's a '97 4x4 with the 4.3L and 4L60E trans. It appears that my 3rd-4th clutch packare burnedup. After calling around and getting estimates between $1200 to $1800to have itrebuilt, I started considering swapping it out with a usedone. While surfing I found a site that mentions that GM upgraded some internal parts of the 4L60Eto create the 4L65E. Sois a "65" a direct "bolt in"swap? If so, how can I tell the differance betweena "60"and the "65"? Thanks in advance. Alan

I believe that the 65E is longer.
