Default No fuel after changing cap and rotor

Hello,
After work today I went to start my car. It briefly started but did not get above 1000rpms. It sputtered and died. I tried a few more times and this occurred until it simply did not show any rpm’s. Took the cap off and saw the terminal on top of the rotor was broken. Got a new cap and rotor and have spark at the plugs. No fuel though. Do you think this is a bad fuel pump or something else electrical with both issues occurring at the same time without showing any signs previously. Also to mention I checked for fuel at the filter on the frame rail and nothing came out when cranking.

Year and model?

Do you get 12v at the FP priming tab for 2 seconds at key on?

I didn’t have a test light with me but have one now and will check later. Is the FP priming tab on the relay or fuse? I checked the fuse and relay and they were both fine

It's in the UHFB usually near the relay.

This is not your year but it will give you an idea:

Went back to the car yesterday, hopped in, turned the key and started up without hesitation. I’m not really sure what the problem was but I replaced the fuel pump just to be safe. The original pump was still in there and figured it would be best to change it out. Thank you for your help. Even still, do you know why it would just start working again? I could hear the pump turn on like usual this time. Could that just be the motor in the pump going bad?

Yes a failing pump can become intermittent but there are many other possibilities. When you have intermitent problems, travel with your test equipment so that you can start narrowing down each time it fails.
