Hey all, I have a 92 K1500 Blazer with a 350 and 700R4 Transmission. The problem I'm having here is once it shifts out of second it doesn't do anything but rev up. This is my second transmission since I bought the truck and I just put this one in a week ago because my old transmission was doing the exact same thing. So do I need another transmission or is there something else going on with the truck? This transmission worked fine for a week or so and only has 150000 on it.

 

Sorry, but it's probably toasted as well. Try adjusting the TV cable properly and see if that does anything. If not you can take it in and have just the 3-4 clutch pack replaced. They probably wont offer any warranty since they aren't checking anything else. That possibility is based on how much you've driven it. I've drove one about 5-10 miles in 2nd and not had much particulate circulated around. 30-40 starts spreading the stuff through the whole system.

If the TV cable isn't setup right it will take out 3rd and 4th very quickly.
