Hey all, I did a quick search on this problem, but didn't find any applicable threads, so I apologize if I overlooked something.
Okay, the other day my blazer got stuck in some snow. I attempted to rock it out, but when in reverse I heard a crump or snap sound. After that, I had no reverse. The vehicle is still capable of going forward, but there is a whirring sound even when in park/idle. Any idears?
Appreciate the help! It is a 2000 blazer 4WD automatic, stock transmission, 140k miles

Im going to take a guess and say crunched the sunshell inside your trans. Its down in the bottom of your trans and holds your clutchs, steels and rest of the drum housing inside your trans.I dont remember how late in the years the 4L60e had this problem but its notorius for failing.
