Noisey PCV Valve

Noisey PCV Valve
For some time I have had a strange sound from behind my dash intruments that sounded like plastic gears meshing and grinding. It would go away when I touched the gas pedal lightly.
So I got out the other day and looked under the hood to find it is my PCV valve chattering and my throttle cable runs right over the goose neck elbow hose that runs from under the air intake to the PCV.
I think this started when I did a tune up and put a new PCV in.
Would that chattering mean it is defective in some way, or is this a normal chatter that I only am getting inside because the cable is resting down on the hose due to the locations of both and acting as a transfer pickup for that noise. I think I'd have to snip some hose off if I wanted to keep them from contacting each other.

ha yeah i had that happend about a year ago when i was working on a car and thats basically what happened. i got in the thing and just thought wtf did i do. so its basically doing like the two tin can and string thing. the sound is just being carried into the cab by the throttle cable. if you dont want to cut it maybe put some rubber hose or zip tie it out of the way
