Default nv3500 shift fork

Ok some of you may remember that a few months ago my 1-2 shift fork broke in half, now my ? is how does it go back together. The old shift fork and the new shift fork are the same but the piece that sticks out is on the wrong side, it should be with the other 2(3-4 and 5-6 shift forks)
Here are a few pix

I just spotted this post. Could you take a couple of pics a little farther away to show the entire transmission?
Also, are there 2 holes on the shift shaft where that pin could go?

There is only one hole there but were the actual shift handle goes there are 2 holes.

The biggest problem with something like this is that the documentation on this transmission sucks! I am sure that if I had ever disassembled one, I could lend a hand in this situation, but I have never touched the NV3500 transmission short of changing the gear oil.

I suspect your biggest problem is that you took it apart so long ago, then had to wait for parts. The more pictures you can take from varying angles will help, but without knowing what one looked like before things were taken apart makes this VERY difficult.

Yah I have searched for countless hours for pics and what ever I could find with no luck. I couldnt even find a manual for this trans. When I was at school yesterday, I looked on Alldata to find a pic(already printed up proceedure of disassembly and reassembly with no luck) and found a pic but it doesnt help at all.
Here is one of the other pics with the problem circled, and an arrow pointing to were it is supposed to be.

Remove the rear most shift fork and take a picture showing the side of the transmission, the side that is to the bottom portion of the picture you just posted.

Actually what I meant was to remove the shift fork that is still on in those pictures so I can see what the other peice that is connected to the shift rail looks like on the under side. From those pictures, it looks as though the rear most fork is practically identical to the fork further inside the transmission...
