Top rear of the engine next to the distributor. Mounts horizontally.

Thanks man. Doesn't it take a special socket to remove it as well?

I had to eventually remove my distributor to make it easier to access. I just broke my old one off, but be careful not to break it off in the elbow fitting. Then used a regular socket to get it out and used channel lock pliers to tightened the new one. I bought a special deep socket for this but it still wasn't deep enough...so I just used the above method. Primitive but effective.
