Default Oil pump?

On my 1995 blazer 4X4, is there supposed to be a gasket on the oil pump. My haynes book does not mention one, but, then again the book has been wrong on the whole process so I'm not surprised. The book states 12 pan nuts when there is actually 18 on my pan.

Thanks, Shane

Default RE: Oil pump?

I don't know of any gasket associated with the oil pump.

Never have used a gasket on any of the engines I've rebuilt...
