Overheating issue
ACTIONS ALREADY TAKEN
~thermostat replaced
~all fluid flushed and replaced
~temperature sensorreplaced
~temperature guage sensor replaced
~radiator cap replaced
PROBLEM
After flushing the system andreplacing all components listed above, I let the engine run for 20 minutes with the heater on full blast. The temperature guage ended up maxing out and the check guages light came on. I turned the engine off and steam was coming off the radiator from behind the fan (not out the cap). Also, I could hear gurgling noises from the engine block.
There are no leaks. The radiator fan works properly. What else could it be? Any ideas?!?!?

RE: Overheating issue
Sounds like some crud broke loose during the flush and has stuck in the radiator or someplace else. I say do another good flush and make sure there's no air trapped.

RE: Overheating issue
I most likely have air trapped in the system. What is the proper way to refill after a flush?

RE: Overheating issue
Front end elevated, right side slightly higher, radiator cap loose. Run to operating temp, adding coolant as needed, let the engine cool back down and repeat the process.

RE: Overheating issue
do I fill the engine block all the way to the top before installing the t-stat?

RE: Overheating issue
You don't have to.

RE: Overheating issue
Did you remove the t-stat when you flushed?
Definitely sounds like air though. I was venting air from the system for a few days both times after I flushed/refilled.
