Please Help!!!
Will a General Motors 4L60-E Transmission from 2004 Chevrolet 1500 extended cab 4X4 pickup work with a 2001 Blazer 4X4 with a 4L60-E Transmission. The input shafts and the torque converters are different. Can I use the Blazer input shaft in the 1500?? or is there a torque converter that will make the 1500 trans work with my Blazer? Thank you for any help

Are you sure the 2004 truck had a 4L-60E? That is around the time when the 4L-65E started to come out. Do you have any pictures of the new 4L-60? Specifically what is different about the torque converters, input shafts?
Use the truck flexplate/torque converter with the new tranny in your blazer.
Also check the connection on the PRNDL switch, You might have to use the one on your current trans if the plugs are different, And check the Valve body plug to make sure they are the same as they may have changed over those 3 years. IF they dont match thats a problem.

I hope these pics help. As you can see the end of the input shafts are different. I had to change the bell and tail housings. The PRNDL switch is different and I had to change that too.
Thank you for the help.

The old trans has a 1TAD sticker on it and the new one has a 4KCD sticker on it.

Your 2001 should have the removable bell housing on it (2pc case) not the single piece case like the picture shown... GM changed to the 2pc case w/ removable bell housing in the 96-97 time frame according to my ASTG manual.
So long as the 2004 trans is a 4L60E, you should be able to use it, but if there is that much different, it may be the 4L65E.

I got the picture from the net to shown the differences in the input shaft. Both have bolt on bell housings. They are both supposed to be 4L60-E's. The trans from the 2004 1500 truck has a bigger torque converter and a different input shaft. I switched out the bell housings, that did not help. There is not enough clearance to bolt the torque converter to the flywheel.
