I recently changed my factory ignition coil, plugs, and wires in my blazer. When I was done I cranked it and it started having a loud backfire noise that wasn't there prior to the work. And ideas what it could be?? Thanks in advance yall

 

Sounds like timing, recheck your plug wire order and distr cap seating. What year is the truck?

I'll second George's suggestion to check the plug wires. It's very easy (and very common) to mix up #1 and #3 because they don't go where they look like they should (assuming you have a second gen with a 4.3 and a "crab" cap, since you didn't specify).

 

I appreciate the help and it's a 2000 s10 blazer. But I had #1 and #3 mixed up.
