Default Problem with 88 Blazer switching out of Gear

Hey I am about to buy my fathers old 88 blazer back from his best friends son and it is having some issues. It slips out of gear sometimes and the transmission was rebuilt with a heavy duty kit about 4 to 5 years ago. We have replaced the whole rear end and I was just wondering what you guys think it could be! I was thinking maybe the transfer case?
