Problem with front wheel drive.

Default Problem with front wheel drive.

Hi,

I have 97 4x4 blazer.
I have lever to swich 2HI, 4HI and 4LO.

no mather what i do front drive won't work.

the front drive light next to 2,4 and LO lights wot ligt up.

Is this very expensive problem or is just the cabel proken?

The front axle is vacuum actuated. You need to get to the actuator (under the battery) and see if it is working properly. If it is not receiving vacuum when you have the transfer case in 4HI or 4LO (& engine running), then you have to investigate the vacuum supply to the transfer case, the vacuum switch on the transfer case, as well as the vacuum supply from the switch on the transfer case to the front axle actuator.
