Pulling tranny out of 95 Jimmy
Any tips or tricks to make this go smoothly? I've already got both drive shafts disconnected, Rear of tranny unbolted from transfer case, inspection plate removed, and tranny mount unbolted. I know I have to get the exhaust out of the way, get the cross member out, and figure out a way to get the bell housing bolts out. This is gonna be a bitch.

Lots of extensions! Drop the back of the trans down to expose the upper bell housing bolts and get a bunch of extensions together to reach up to them. Universal type sockets (the ones with the universal joint that is part of the socket) make this job a LOT easier as well due to their compactness.
Just be careful not to damage the distributor when you drop the back of the trans down!
