pump cavitation?
i have a sound coming from my trans sounds like it's an exhaust leak. new tc new flexplate. drives and seems to shift fine but it makes noise in all gears and park. when i throttle it up it keeps time with rpms like exhaust leak would. does anybody have any ideas?

Could it be an actual exhaust leak?
Have you done recent transmission work that could have resulted in an improperly installed filter?

with flexplate disconnected from tc no noise. i disconnected the tv cable from throttle body and pulled on it without raising rpms as if going to wot and the noise sped up as i pulled out and slowed as i released the cable. no new work on the trans for about 3 or 4 months. other than that just normal "pm".

also when i pulled pan to change filter after tc swap filter was still snug

Did you check the condition of the seal that the filter presses up into? I'm thinking that you are sucking in air from somewhere above the fluid level in the pan or you could have possibly damaged the pump when you installed the new TC...

yeah seal is new also. the noise is the whole reason for the new flexplate, tc, filter and oils. the noise started while i was driving 25 mph down the road. it's a 700r4 if that helps.???
